5/16/13 band update

Heyyyyy

Josh here, two shows I want to tell you about up front:

1. We’re playing in Ellensburg on May 31st @ Prosody, 9 PM, $8. w/ Trip like Animals, + The Special Guests

2. We’re playing in Bellevue on June 7th @ Ground Zero 7 PM, $5. w/ Dr. John Blow, Shunny Bunny + Bad Boy, and John White.

Other than that what’s been up w/ us?

We recently released a 7,” (buy it here, stupid: CLICK) put up the video for “Firewood,” and have been playing some sick shows. The video and 7 ” have been receiving rave review, and I’m pretty sure that the video has more likes than dislikes on youtube.

Making the video took a really long time. We started filming for it in March of 2012, and probably got 90% of filming done. Then we came in and finished it one year later. We just didn’t bother to finish it the whole time because we knew we weren’t going to be releasing the song (or the video) for a long time, and that’s how we do things over at SEACATS HQ. Mike built the stage and cut out all the letters himself, he is a machine, he can do anything. Then we set the letters on fire

For the release of our 7″ we played an awesome show @ Lunchbox Laboratory in Seattle, which even included us having our own menu item for the day, the “SEACATS 7″ BURGER” which featured Mac + Cheese and fries on the burg.

And then for the last few weeks its been “finish up the album” time. We’ve been mixing w/ steve, and we’re finally pretty close to done. Album artwork is being decided and finalized, all the little pieces that need to be figured out as we prepare for the actual final release are getting figured out. The album will be coming out in late summer I think it is safe to say.

I’m booking a Cali tour for this summer, and looking at doing something that reaches wider for Sept./Oct.

More stuff from us soon, see ya later
